THIS SUNDAY

May 10, 2026 - Mother's Day

Rev. Adam Spore, 8:30 am Traditional Worship

& 11:15 am Modern Worship

Rev. Val Stewart, 11:00 am Traditional Worship

He had washed their feet. He had broken the bread. And now, in the quiet of that upper room, he was trying to prepare them for something they couldn't yet imagine — a world in which he would no longer be physically present, and they would have to find a way to carry on. His answer to their unspoken fear was a promise: that they would not be left alone. That something — someone — would come to dwell not just among them, but within them. This week, we sit with that promise and the mystery it carries - The Holy Spirit. Have you felt it? And do you know what to call it when you do? Join us Sunday as we ask these questions together.

  • Have you ever felt left out—or maybe proud to be part of something others couldn’t join? This Sunday, we’re talking about why that feeling matters and what it says about our hearts. God’s love isn’t just for the “in crowd.” Instead, God’s dream is a world where everyone belongs and is cared for. Come ready to think, reflect, and maybe see things a little differently.

  • This Sunday, we're talking about something hard - about the things that keep us far from God and from being our best selves. We’ll hear a Bible story that shows how Jesus helps people when nothing else seems to work. And we’ll talk about prayer—not as a magic fix, but as a way to bring God into the front seat of our lives instead of leaving Him in the trunk. Come ready to be challenged, comforted, and maybe even surprised by the power of prayer.

  • Have you ever looked back at a time in your life and suddenly understood it more clearly? A wise person once said,  “Life can only be understood backward, but it must be lived forward.” This Sunday, we’ll look at how that idea connects to Jesus’ command to love others as He loves us. Jesus didn’t just talk about love—He showed it by loving even those who betrayed and hurt Him. Join us as we explore what it means to love with courage, even when it’s hard.

  • 🎓 This Sunday, we’re celebrating our graduating seniors—but the message isn’t just for them. In fact, the best advice we can give might sound a little surprising: don’t graduate. Not from school—but from learning, growing, and becoming who God is calling you to be. The Bible teaches that wisdom is not just about what we know, but how we live—and it’s something we can keep seeking every day. Join us as we talk about how following Jesus means always growing, always learning, and never being done. 🌱

  • This Sunday is Mother’s Day, and we’re diving into why the Church takes time to celebrate it. It’s more than flowers, cards, or saying thank you—it’s about the kind of love that gives, teaches, protects, and shows up. Jesus prayed for his followers the night before he died, and the way he prayed sounds a lot like the way a loving mother cares for her children. That kind of love isn’t just for moms—it’s what all of us are called to live out in our homes, our friendships, and our faith. Come hear how Jesus shows us the power of love that clings, cares, and never lets go.

  • The world is always changing, and that change seems to come faster and faster. But there is nothing new about that. Our very state of being is one of change. We constantly hunger for something else. But through it all, God is constant. This week in Modern Worship our resident lay speaker, Patrick Wilson, will explore how God remains constant despite all the changes in our lives.
