Sunday School Classes for Adults

SUNDAYS from 9:45 -10:45 am | Between Worship Service

First United Methodist Church of Waxahachie supports a strong Sunday School Class culture. Groups meet on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:45 am each week. Groups also host social gatherings outside of church. You'll find that when you join a class at FUMC, you aren't just growing in your faith through learning, but you are gaining a strong community of friends.

Connect Crew

The Connect Crew class is a discussion-based class for singles and couples. This group is made up of families with young children (infant - elementary school). The group is casual and welcoming, and ready to meet you!

Asbury Class

The Asbury Class is a discussion-based class for adults. The group is multi-generational, with ages ranging from 30s to 60s. The group values differing opinions and great conversation. All are welcome. The group meets in Room 213.

The Seekers Class

The Seekers Sunday school class is a Group Bible Study for adults. The group is multi-generational, with singles and couples of all ages and children from pre-K to adults. This group values diversity and new points of view and can't wait for you to join the discussion.

ABC Class

The ABC Class is a discussion-based class for adults in their middle ages. This group enjoys making new friends, social outings, and laughing a lot! The group meets in the Chapel.

Agape Class

The Agape Class is a discussion-based bible study class for adults in their middle ages. The group enjoys a deep dive into theology and Bible study but tries not to take themselves too seriously. They meet in Room 123.

Covenant Class

The Covenant Class is a smaller Bible Study Group, for retirement aged adult. The group is a teacher-led class. Members enjoy learning from their peers in this small group setting. They meet in Room 122.

Builders Class

The Builders Class is our largest Sunday School class. This lecture-based class incorporates worship elements into its class and enjoys regular social events outside of church. The group is for ages 60 and older and meets in Fidelis Hall.

Wesley Class

The Wesley Class is home to some of our longest-standing members. This is a small group that enjoys a teaching - style class. The group is for ages 80 + and meets in Room 106.
