THIS SUNDAY

June 21, 2026

Rev. Adam Spore, 8:30 am Traditional Worship

& 11:15 am Modern Worship

Rev. Val Stewart, 11:00 am Traditional Worship

We have no trouble asking God to forgive us. It is forgiving the person who hurt us — or wronged us, or disappointed us, or maybe just got under our skin — where things get complicated. This week, we land on the final lines of the Lord's Prayer and wrestle with what it really means to pray them honestly. Because a posture of grace toward others is not just a nice idea. According to Jesus, it is inseparable from the grace we ourselves have received.

  • This Sunday, as we begin our Lenten journey, we reflect on the powerful story of Jesus in the wilderness—a place of temptation, struggle, and clarity. Just as Jesus wrestled with scripture and his identity, we, too are called to examine our own beliefs and confront the temptations that shape our lives. Lent invites us not only to decide but to act—to face the hard truths and allow God to transform us from the inside out. Let’s take this time to go deeper into our faith, challenge old patterns, and truly live out the gospel.

  • Baseball season is here, and whether you love the game or not, I have an incredible baseball story to share! A young fan once left a World Series game feeling disappointed, only to realize later he had witnessed history! In the same way, when we fail to worship God, we miss out on the bigger picture of His presence and power in our lives. Worship isn’t just about singing songs—it’s about seeing what truly matters and celebrating the amazing reality of God with us. Join us this Sunday as we explore how worship and celebration open our eyes to the wonder of God!

  • In this week's sermon, we’re diving into one of Jesus' most challenging teachings: "If you want to follow me, forget about yourself, take up your cross, and give up your life." It sounds crazy, doesn’t it? But what if it’s the key to living a better, more fulfilling life? We’ll explore how submitting to God’s will isn’t about weakness or being controlled, but about finding true freedom and joy in following God’s guidance. Join us this Sunday to discover how this act of submission can bring peace and transformation into your life!

  • Have you ever felt like life is just too busy to stop and listen to God? Jesus, even with all the crowds and demands, took time to be alone and pray. In this sermon, we’ll explore how the practices of solitude and meditation can bring us clarity, strength, and peace. They aren’t weird or difficult—they’re simple ways to make space for God’s voice. If Jesus needed quiet time with God, maybe we do too!

  • This Sunday, we're diving into the important spiritual discipline of guidance. As Christians, faith isn’t just about believing—it's about following Jesus and living out His teachings. But how do we know we're on the right path? One way is by seeking guidance from others, especially within the church community, where we learn and grow together. Join us as we explore how God's guidance often comes through the people around us, helping us stay true to His call for our lives.

  • In this Sunday's sermon, we’ll talk about the Christian discipline of simplicity and how it can help us live with increased peace and purpose. It’s easy to get caught up in chasing after more things or trying to impress others, but Jesus teaches us that true happiness comes from focusing on what matters. Together, we’ll discover how simplifying our lives can lead us to a deeper connection with God and a clearer path to joy.
