The world is always changing, and that change seems to come faster and faster. But there is nothing new about that. Our very state of being is one of change. We constantly hunger for something else. But through it all, God is constant. This week in Modern Worship our resident lay speaker, Patrick Wilson, will explore how God remains constant despite all the changes in our lives.

What are the most important words in the Bible? Most of us would say things like God, Jesus, love, and faith—and we’d be right! But this week, we’re going to talk about two words that are often misunderstood: conversion and repentance. They’re not just one-time events; they’re part of a lifelong journey with Jesus, full of learning, growing, and turning toward the good. Come hear the story of Paul, a man who went from enemy of the church to one of its greatest leaders—and the everyday people like Ananias who helped make that transformation possible.

Sometimes, doing what’s right isn’t easy. After Jesus rose from the dead, he told his followers to share his message with the world—but that put them in danger. The authorities wanted to silence them, and even threw them in jail. But the apostles chose to follow God rather than give in to fear or pressure. This week, we’ll explore what it means to speak the truth with courage, even when it’s risky or unpopular.

This Sunday, we’re talking about a really big party. It’s a party that started a long time ago, when Jesus rose from the grave on Easter morning. At first, everyone thought the party was over when Jesus died, but God had a surprise bigger than anyone could imagine. The best part? Everyone’s invited, and the celebration still hasn’t ended. Come hear how one person telling another person keeps the party going — and how you can be part of it too!

In Modern worship this weekend, Pastor Val preaches a special sermon designed for families and children. This Sunday is Palm Sunday—the start of Holy Week. People cheered for Jesus as he rode into the city, but he knew hard things were coming. Even though it looked like a party, Jesus was feeling many emotions inside. He left the city quietly that night, maybe to keep a promise or to prepare for the days ahead. What if we’re also called to let go of things we’ve been carrying and return to God with open hearts?

This Sunday is Palm Sunday—the day we remember when Jesus rode into Jerusalem and the people cheered and waved palm branches. It was a big celebration, but it was also a moment when people were asking for help. They shouted “Hosanna,” which means “Save us!” We still need Jesus today, just like they did back then. Come worship with us as we welcome Jesus with joy and ask him to help us in our lives.
