Service Times

Traditional Worship

First United Methodist Church offers two weekly Traditional Worship times:

  • Sunday at 8:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary in the Main Building
  • Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary in the Main Building

traditionalTraditional Worship at First United Methodist Church embodies most of the customary elements you would expect in a traditional worship service. Familiar hymns, beautiful organ and piano music, reciting the Apostles’ Creed, and praying together the Lord’s Prayer are the typical elements you might anticipate in this setting of a beautiful historic church.

What sets this service apart is the dynamic preaching that relates the Bible to our everyday lives. Between prayers, praise, scripture, children’s time and offering time, a rich variety of music is interwoven into the worship experience by our Chancel Choir, talented church members and special musical groups.

The resulting worship experience is one that glorifies God and equips believers to carry Christ into the world.

Communion Sunday: Holy Communion is served the first Sunday of every month.

We invite you to come be part of a family where you may lay your burdens aside, leave knowing God is with you, and be empowered to share Christ, disciple believers and serve others wherever you go.
